Edward M. Willingham, age 57, of Waukegan, Illinois, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2026, surrounded by the warmth and love of his family.

Eddie lived a life filled with simple pleasures, lasting passions, and deep devotion to those he loved. An avid sports fan, he rarely missed a chance to cheer on his beloved Chicago Bears and Chicago White Sox. When he wasn't keeping up with Chicago sports, you could often find him by the water with a fishing pole in hand, reminiscing about his school days on the baseball diamond, or admiring classic automobiles, holding a particularly special place in his heart for the iconic 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air.

A true food lover and music enthusiast, Eddie found great joy in good meals and great tunes, especially the timeless melodies of soft and classic rock. Above all, his greatest pride and joy was his family.

He is survived by his loving siblings: Michael (the late Patricia) Peters, Laura (Paul Jr.) Peters, John Willingham, Gary Willingham, and Rachael Willingham. Edward also leaves behind a cherished legacy as a beloved uncle and great-uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving and devoted parents, Paulette and Gary Willingham Sr.

The family extends their warmest gratitude to the staff at City of Hope in Zion for their exemplary care and compassion during his time there.

Eddie's presence, warm spirit, and love for life will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

The Willingham family invites you to join them on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at Linden Funerals (120 Peterson Road, Libertyville, IL 60048) for a Visitation that will begin at 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM. Interment will be private at the request of the family.
