Francisco Rivera Jr., 73, of Lindenhurst, Illinois, passed away on May 13, 2026, at Froedtert Pleasant Prairie Hospital in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. Born on February 5, 1953, in Chicago, Illinois, Francisco was the son of the late Francisco Rivera Sr. and Marian P. McTaroff.

Francisco shared 45 loving years of marriage with his beloved wife, Concepcion “Ching” Rivera. Together they built a life centered around family, love, and lasting memories. He was a devoted and loving husband, proud father, grandfather, and friend whose presence brought strength and comfort to those around him.

He is survived by his daughters, Jessica Rivera-Montejo and Joanna Rivera-Catalano; his sons-in-law, Rupert Montejo and David Catalano; and his cherished grandchildren, Nick Montejo, Nathan Montejo, Anthony Verduzco, Jaxton Catalano, and Sofia Catalano. His family was the center of his world, and he took great pride in watching his children and grandchildren grow.

Francisco worked in the insurance industry and was known for his strong work ethic, dedication, and ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Above all, he will be remembered for the love he had for his family and the many lives he touched throughout the years.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM on Saturday May 23rd, 2026, at North Prairie United Methodist Church - 5000 9th St, Zion, IL 60099. The funeral service will begin at the church at 10:30 AM. Followed by a luncheon at church. Interment will take place at 2:00 PM at Glen Oaks Cemetery - 4301 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, IL 60162 (We will meet just inside the main gate before proceeding to the gravesite).
