Janet G. Thorsen

Janet G. Thorsen passed away peacefully on January 21, 2025. She was born on July 20, 1942, in Chicago, IL, to her loving parents, Leroy and Abbigail Kreiling.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved daughter, Cathryn Mogensen.

Janet is survived by her loving children, Kimberly (Joseph) Zielinski, Jeffrey (Deborah) Thorsen and her son-in-law, Kurt Mogensen.  She is fondly remembered by her dear grandchildren, Brooke Crews, Cody (April) Crews and Chase Thorsen, and her cherished great-grandchildren, Jeslie Crews, Henry Crews and Ava Crews. Janet is also survived by her fond brother Richard (Pat) Kreiling, many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was a dedicated employee, working at Quill Corporation for over 30 years. There she built strong relationships with her coworkers and customers. She was always available to help and mentor others.

Janet loved spending time with family and friends.  She was an avid reader and always had a book nearby.  She loved being outside admiring flowers, and enjoying the antics of the squirrels and birds, especially her favorites, cardinals and hummingbirds.

Services were private.
