Dr. Joseph Michael Kiefer, DDS, a son, brother, and veteran, passed away on September 2, 2026, in Vernon Hills, Illinois, at the age of 72.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, on July 16, 1954, to Joseph and Gertrude Kiefer, A proud alumni of Loyola University, Dr. Kiefer honorably served in the United States Navy as a Lieutenant, blending his commitment to service with his professional calling by providing vital dental care to service members.

Known affectionately as "Joey" to his family, He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Joseph and Gertrude Kiefer.

He is survived by his siblings Thomas (Rosemary) Kiefer, Marjorie Arcineiga, Janet (Steve) Gallegos, and Robert (Enid) Kiefer.

A veteran's service and committal will be held graveside to honor Dr. Kiefer’s life, military service, and enduring legacy on Wednesday September 23, 2026, at 11:00 AM at All Saints Cemetery - 700 N. River Rd, Des Plaines, IL 60016
