Judith "Judy" Moon of Grayslake, Illinois, passed away on June 19, 2026, at the age of 79.

Judy was born in St. Thomas, Ontario and emigrated to the Buffalo area as a young girl. Her early life was shaped by family and the close bond she shared with her sisters.

Her work with the airlines took her to Denver. That chapter ultimately led her to Peoria, Illinois, where she built a life, raised her family, and became part of a neighborhood that meant a great deal to her.

She had a deep appreciation for antiques and the history behind them. She loved her dogs and found comfort in the familiar rhythms of home and neighborhood life. In later years, she took great pride in being a grandmother.

She will be remembered for her independence, loyalty to family, dry sense of humor, and the simple values she carried throughout her life.

She is survived by her sons, her grandchildren, her many nieces and nephews, and her dogs, Mikey and Dot.

Please join us to celebrate the life of Judith Moon at a Remembrance Gathering on Sunday, June 28, 2026. Friends and family are invited to share memories and fellowship between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM at The Carillon North Community Center, located at 2411 Carillon Dr, Grayslake, IL 60030. A Remembrance Service will be held during this time, from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM.
