Lana Leskov

With heavy hearts and deep love, we share the passing of Lana Leskov, age 64, who passed away on the night of September 12th, 2025 after a courageous eight-year battle with cancer.

She faced her illness with unwavering grace, strength, and dignity, never allowing it to take away her joy, hope, or the boundless love she gave to everyone around her. In her final weeks, she was hospitalized, returned home briefly, and was later readmitted before entering hospice care in Barrington, Illinois where she spent her last three days surrounded by her family’s love.

Lana was born on March 26th, 1961 in Odessa, Ukraine, and from the beginning, she radiated warmth, kindness, and quiet strength. She married Sergey and together they built a home rooted in love, resilience, and family. In 1994, she moved to the United States from Ukraine determined to create a better life, and she did just that, inspiring all who knew her with her spirit and selflessness.

She was a devoted wife, a proud and loving mother of two, and a friend to many. Known for her kindness, her sharp sense of humor, and her endless compassion, she made every space feel like home.

She is survived by her loving husband, Sergey, and their two children, Irene and Andrey. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Roman and Lidiya Muchnik.

Her legacy is one of love, quiet courage, and unwavering devotion to her family. Though she is no longer with us, her light will continue to guide and inspire us every day.

Graveside Services were held on Wednesday September 17th, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Vernon Cemetery - 15215 Cemetery Rd, Lincolnshire, IL 60069. A recording of the service is below and can be accessed by clicking on the link.
