Lucia Ehretsman, 77 of Grayslake, passed away on May 7th, after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease.
She is survived by her children Jim (Robin) Ehretsman, Becky Ehretsman and Sheri (Tony) Pekar, granddaughter Alexandria Dunlop, great grandson Theo Stokes, sister Mary (Jim) Morstadt and best friend for over three decades, Lynn Korff.
She was preceded in death by her grandson Christopher Dunlop and her parents George and Phyllis Blanche Satkoff.
Lucia was a Lutheran high school teacher, dean and coach at Luther High School South and Walther Lutheran High School and touched the lives of many students and athletes in her career. She had a love for the Packers, the Cubs and her cats. She enjoyed traveling to her favorite places in Florida, Door County, and to visit family in Mineral Point.
A Memorial Service will be held to honor and remember Lucia on Sunday, May 19 at 6:00 PM at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 310 E Main St, East Dundee, IL 60118. At Lucia's request, the gift of her body will be donated to the Anatomical Gift Association of Illinois for the advancement of science.
In lieu of flowers, Lucia’s family requests that donations be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation or Walther Christian Academy.
