Marilyn Steinweg

Marilyn Steinweg passed away peacefully on July 27, 2025. She was born on July 24, 1929, in Chicago, IL, to her loving parents, Edward and Anna Rosenberg. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Walter Steinweg, who she married on December 21, 1957.

Marilyn is survived by her loving children, Russell Steinweg, Barbara (Frank) Mondia, and Edward (Yvonne) Steinweg. She is fondly remembered by her dear grandchildren, Andrew (Jessica) Steinweg, Derek (Brittany) Steinweg, Delanie Steinweg, Luke (Jaden) Mondia, and Jordan Mondia. Marilyn is also survived by her cherished great-grandson Perry Walter Steinweg.

Marilyn worked for many years as a lab technician and a nurse for a general practitioner when she wasn’t at home raising her three children. Marilyn loved spending time with family and friends playing cards and board games, especially Mahjong. She always seemed to have great luck when playing slots at one of her favorite casinos.

A funeral service will be held on August 7, 2025 at 11:15 am in San Diego, California at Miramar National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Dementia Society of America or to the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center .
