In Loving Memory of Nenita Canoza Pilar

Nenita Canoza Pilar, a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2026, at the age of 57. A resident of Round Lake, Illinois, she leaves behind a legacy defined by warmth, generosity, and an unwavering devotion to those she held dear.

Born on March 12, 1969, in Bulacan, Philippines, to Juliana Sulit and Carmelito Canoza, Nenita carried the vibrant spirit of her heritage throughout her life. She possessed a rare and beautiful gift for making others feel seen, valued, and joyful. Whether through the comfort of a home-cooked meal or a quiet, selfless act of service, she cultivated happiness in everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Outside of her role as a dedicated family anchor, Nenita found great peace in her garden. With the same patience and love she poured into her family, she nurtured the earth, finding beauty in growth and season. Above all else, she was a woman of profound selflessness, consistently placing the needs of her children and grandchildren far above her own.

Nenita was preceded in death by her parents, Juliana and Carmelito. She is survived by her three devoted children, Matthew, Mark, and Nichelle; her two adored grandchildren, Matthan and Aliyah; and a wide circle of extended family and friends who will hold her memory close in their hearts forever.

Though she is no longer with us, the seeds of kindness and love she planted will continue to bloom in the lives of all she touched. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit remains a guiding light to her family and friends.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Saturday June 27, 2026 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at The Blue Thistle 37510 N  Fairfield Road, Lake Villa, Illinois 60046
