Obituary

In Loving Memory of Richard Eugene “Rich” Weaver Jr.

Born June 28, 1963 – Passed June 8, 2026

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Eugene Weaver Jr., lovingly known as “Rich,” a beloved husband, devoted father, and proud grandfather, who passed away on June 8, 2026, just weeks before his 63rd birthday.

Rich was born on June 28, 1963, in Norfolk, VA to Richard E. Weaver Sr. and Charlotte M. Weaver. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Charlotte M. Weaver, and his brother, William “Bill” Weaver.

Rich was a man who found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved spending peaceful days fishing and enjoying the outdoors. He was also known for his love of grilling and bringing family together around good food, laughter, and conversation. Many cherished memories were made around his barbecue grill, where he proudly cooked for those, he loved most.

Above all else, Rich treasured his family. He was a loving husband who stood faithfully beside his wife through life’s ups and downs, a caring father who always offered support and guidance, and a proud grandfather whose face lit up whenever he was with his granddaughter. His strength, kindness, humor, and unconditional love will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him.

Rich leaves behind his loving wife, Clora Weaver; his loving daughter, Heather (Weaver) Fisher and her husband, Daniel; his beloved son, Najee Mitchell-Weaver; and his cherished granddaughter, Bryianna Fisher (turkey butt), along with extended family members and many dear friends who will deeply miss him and forever cherish the memories they shared together.

The family would also like to extend a special thank you to his sister, Angel, for all of her help, love, and guidance while navigating this difficult time. Her support and strength have meant more than words can express.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in the countless memories he gave us and the love he shared so freely. His legacy will live on through every family gathering, every fishing trip, and every meal shared around the grill.

A memorial visitation to honor Rich’s life will be held at a later date. Please check back for further details.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever remembered.
