丽丽于1961年9月30日出生于中国上海，是父亲张培德和母亲李蓉最小的孩子，也是他们 唯一的女儿。她有两位哥哥张申和张晓明。她在上海长大，毕业于上海外国语大学，获得 英语学位。1981年至1991年期间，她在中国电信上海分公司担任会计。她于1987年结识 丈夫甘建，并于1988年3月22日结婚。1990年女儿甘梦出生，一年内她和丈夫先后移居 美国密歇根州。直到1995年，全家才在密歇根州团聚。

她于1996年毕业于密歇根州Ann Arbor的Cleary College，获得会计学学士学位。2000年 全家搬到华盛顿州的Richland，最终于2002年定居爱达荷州的Idaho Falls。2006年起，她在Dome Technology公司担任会计，直至2024年底被诊断出胶质母细胞瘤。2025年初，她和丈夫搬到芝加哥与女儿团聚，并于伊利诺伊州芝加哥郊区的Vernon Hills去世。

她热爱生活。她喜欢做中国菜、购物、社交和旅行。无论距离多远，她总有时间与朋友聊 天，并喜欢欢笑。她孝顺父母并以为人母为荣，家庭对她而言是最重要的。同样地，她也 是我们家庭的中心，她的存在将被深深怀念。亲爱的母亲、妻子，愿您安息。根据她的遗愿，她将被火化并安葬于一个景观优雅， 便于瞻仰的骨灰安置所，她将永远 活在我们的心里。追悼会的具体安排将稍后公布，待细节确认后通知。
